Grants of up to $10,000 and grants of up to $5,000 to California nonprofit organizations in eligible locations for programs that enhance the quality of life for local residents. Funding is intended to support projects that encourage civic engagement and foster pride in the local community. Funds will also be awarded to support music programs. Projects must serve the residents of the Rancho Bernardo community.
The purpose and vision of The Rancho Bernardo Community Foundation (RBCF) is to improve the quality of life and meet emerging needs. RBCF, a proud affiliate of The San Diego Foundation, is committed to the financial support of organizations, projects and programs dedicated to improving the lives of those who live, work and play in Rancho Bernardo.
In the current cycle, the Rancho Bernardo Community Foundation will accept proposals that demonstrate the power to build a more vibrant and civically engaged community. Projects must clearly address Rancho Bernardo-specific issues and needs; including activities that promote creativity and enhance civic engagement and must also clearly address the impact on Rancho Bernardo residents.These projects should be practical, achievable within a 12-month time frame, and have prospects for long-term sustainability. Funding may be used to expand existing programs, replicate programs tested in other communities or to launch totally new efforts.
Grants will be awarded for projects focusing on one of the following areas:
The goal of the grant cycle is to support programs that make Rancho Bernardo a great place in which to live, work and play. Desirable projects will increase dialogue and participation, inspire community pride and revitalization and increase the quality of life of the broader community.
RBCF will award funding from the RB Symphony on the Green Fund to support music and musical programs and projects in the Rancho Bernardo area.

Community Enhancement programs: RBCF will accept proposals in the range of $1,500 to $10,000.
Music programs: RBCF will award up to $10,000 in increments of funding levels between $1,500 and $5,000 from the RB Symphony on the Green Fund to support music and musical programs and projects.
Grants are made for one year. This grant cycle runs from December 1, 2020 through November 30, 2021. (Program funding start date is on December 1, 2020.)
