Request a Grant Writer

Grant of $5,000 to a USA emerging woman film director to get a completed film recognized and ready to be distributed. Applicants may submit a recently-completed or nearly-completed dramatic feature film. Funding may be used for festival entry fees, marketing materials, video duplication, publicists, promotion at the film's opening, or other approved marketing and promotional expenses.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

First-time, US-based dramatic feature filmmakers are eligible.

To be eligible, films must be completed or have locked picture.

Restrictions:
- Films co-directed by a woman and a man are not eligible.
- Films that have already been released theatrically, on television, online or on DVD will not be eligible.
- Grant funds may not be used for the filmmakers' travel or living expenses.

Pre-Application Information:

Application deadline extended to September 27, 2019, 11:50 pm EST.

The grant recipient will be notified in September and the grant will be announced in December at NYWIFT's Muse Awards.
