Grants to Centre County, Pennsylvania nonprofits for new programs that promote health and general well-being among County residents. Letters of Intent are due Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Programs should help people become happier, healthier, and more engaged in the community. Creativity is encouraged.

Collaborative partnerships between other nonprofit organizations, businesses, churches, government entities, etc. are strongly encouraged. Program services must take place in Centre County; the more segments of the Centre County population that can benefit or utilize the program, the better.

The proposed project must be a new program for the applicant organization or its partners. Applications which propose to fund existing programs or provide operational support will not be considered.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Applications are accepted from 501(c)(3) nonprofits in good standing with the IRS. Applicant organizations must have a physical office location in Centre County.

Private non-operating foundations are not eligible for this program.

All applicants must be approved by Centre Foundation and meet all eligibility requirements to participate in Centre Inspires.

Centre Foundation is encouraging organizations to partner for this program, leveraging their considerable talents and finding innovative solutions that employ all of their strengths. Although the primary partner must be a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, we are encouraging partnerships with local businesses, individuals, groups, clubs, and governmental or educational entities.

Pre-Application Information:

Attach your one-page (750 word maximum) Letter of Intent to the provided Cover Page. The primary applicant should complete the Cover Page and obtain the necessary signatures – typed signatures are not acceptable.

Email submission is preferred, but you may opt to hand-deliver it to the mailing address.

Letters of Intent are due Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 5:00 pm.
