Foundation / Corporation
Grants to Texas public libraries in small communities to enhance services offered to local residents. Some requests for funding require a Letter of Intent prior to the full proposal. Funding is intended to support the installation and upgrading of automation systems, library and social services, expansion of patron space, updated library collections, and programming.
The Tocker Foundation has seen inroads made towards many improvements in services and programs in the library. Expanded patron spaces, library automation, computer/internet accessibility, updated collections and a variety of social services all contribute to the rural library's role as a community anchor and gathering place. Past grants have supported collection development, automation systems technology and hardware, programming, furniture and shelving, outreach and many other projects initiated by the community’s patrons.
The Foundation will fund a maximum of two computers per library per request. Tablets are eligible.
The Foundation seriously considers requests for any project that enhances the services provided by the public library.
