Grants to Montgomery, Alabama nonprofit organizations for programs and services that strengthen local families. Applicants are invited to attend the June 27 workshop. Funding will be provided for programs that promote parenting skills, promote the positive development and education of all children and youth, support the elderly and the medically underserved, and strengthen the community as a whole.

A complete list of project impact areas include:

The project should ideally utilize 8 - 25 Junior League volunteers for 20-30 hours each in a meaningful way. A minimum of 8-10 volunteers must be utilized in the project. Priority will be given to proposals that offer a variety of clearly defined volunteer opportunities.

Term of Contract:

A Junior League project “Year” runs from June 1 to May 31.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

All project proposals must be received by a designated nonprofit agency that is a 501(c)(3) organization.

The grant workshop will be held on June 27, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at JLM Headquarters (3570 Carter Hill Road).

Applications are considered by the Committee during the fall, with funds awarded in May 2018.
