Community Foundation of Northeast Michigan - Bois Blanc Island Community Foundation (BBICF)
Grants to Bois Blanc Island, Michigan nonprofits for a wide range of projects and programs that will benefit the local community. The Foundation welcomes any and all ideas that will improve the quality of life for local residents. The purpose of the Foundation is to support and promote charitable, scientific, literary, educational and cultural programs and projects which protect, preserve and cultivate the rich heritage of the island.

Qualified, tax-exempt organizations with projects that benefit Bois Blanc Island residents may apply.
All grant requests must be in writing and must be received by the Board of Directors of the BBICF on or before June 30. Grants will be reviewed by the BBICF grant committee and recommendations will be made to the BBICF board at the August meeting for decision.
All requests must include the following:
- What is specifically wanted and where is it to be located
- The rationale of how this award will benefit the entire Bois Blanc Island community
- The entire cost of the project including equipment, labor, shipping
-The company, group, individual who will be installing/setting up the purchased items if applicable
- The coordinator(s) of the project
- Permission from the Township, county or other groups if necessary
