Grants to Greater Orlando, Florida nonprofit organizations, agencies, and synagogues for collaborative programs or services that address unmet needs of the Jewish community. Funding is intended for programs that are educational, social, cultural, or social service in nature, and must have a significant Jewish component. Projects may include new and innovative Jewish engagement opportunities. Funding is intended for projects in the counties of Orange and Seminole.

To qualify as collaborative, at least two agencies, synagogues, or organizations must work together to develop and submit a proposal and implement a program.

Program/service must be open to the entire Jewish community of Greater Orlando regardless of religious affiliation, synagogue or agency membership, etc., at the same price (if any) for members and non-members.

The amount of the award will depend on the quality and potential impact of the proposed program and the number of collaborating organizations

Term of Contract:

Funds must be used during the program’s specified time frame; any unused funds must be returned to the Federation.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants are available to 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organizations in Greater Orlando area (Orange and Seminole Counties) whose mission is compatible with the mission of the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando.

Proposals must be for collaborative programs or services. To qualify as collaborative, at least two agencies, synagogues, or organizations must work together to develop and submit a proposal and implement a program.

Program/service must be open to the entire Jewish community of Greater Orlando regardless of religious affiliation, synagogue or agency membership, etc., at the same price (if any) for members and non-members.

Requested amount may not include salaries of existing agency staff. Funds may not be used for any other program or for general operating expenses.

Pre-Application Information:

All proposals must be submitted by no later than May 26, 2017. Applicants may be invited to make a presentation to the Grants Committee. Awards will be announced on or before June 20, 2017.

Requested amount may not exceed 50% of the projected total program budget. The rest of the budget must come from organizations’ internal resources, fund raising, other grants, etc.
