Foreign Language Educators of New Jersey (FLENJ)
Award to a New Jersey individual teacher to recognize outstanding contributions to the teaching of foreign languages. Nominations are invited on behalf of outstanding teachers for consideration at the state level. The state winner may go on to compete for the regional Teacher of the Year award.
Each year, the Northeast Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages selects one teacher from among its state associations to represent the region. That winner then competes to become the ACTFL Teacher of the Year at the national level.
