Grants to Ontario registered charities to strengthen the community in eligible locations through arts and culture. Funding is intended to support projects that promote the enjoyment and production of visual, performing, and literary arts. Eligible programs benefit residents in the Guelph Area.

TheĀ  Foundation strengthens the community by funding projects that:

  • Honor the diversity of the community
  • Build a stronger, healthier, and safer community for all citizens
  • Inspire a positive and enduring impact in the community.

For 2021, the Musagetes Fund is particularly interested in new approaches to building community and culture. Preference will be given to organizations that engage one community-based partner who satisfies a connection(s) to social justice, environmental resilience, and intercultural relationships through the arts.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Applications are invited from community organizations, agencies, and institutions within Guelph and surrounding communities. Grants are disbursed to a range of registered charities and applicants must be recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency.

Eligible applicants:
- Have registered charitable status with the Canada Revenue Agency [CRA]. Your charitable registration must be provided.
- Provide services within Guelph and surrounding communities
- Make services available without discrimination
- Demonstrate fiscal and management responsibility, capacity for accountability, and financial need

Applying charitable organizations may also be a fiscal sponsor for up to one other application by a not-for-profit group.

Applications open June 1, 2021, and the deadline to apply is July 5, 2021, by 4:00 PM.
