New Jersey Council of Teachers of English (NJCTE)
Award to recognize a New Jersey teacher, administrator, or supervisor from any grade level (pre-school through university) for excellence in English and/or Language Arts education. This award is intended to honor a creative, dedicated, dynamic, innovative, educator whose work has significantly and widely impacted New Jersey English/language arts education.
The award winner will be an educator whose work has benefited both students and colleagues.
The selected educator will also become eligible for a coveted New Jersey Governor's Award in Arts Education.

The award is open to New Jersey pre-school to university teachers, supervisors, and administrators.
Completed applications must be submitted by November 30 of each year.
All nominations received remain viable for three (3) years.
Notification will occur no later than April 1 of each year.
The Outstanding Educator will be honored at NJCTE’s Spring Conference, featured for the year on the NJCTE website njcte.com, be eligible for an NCTE Teacher of Excellence Award, and be eligible for the New Jersey Governor’s Award in Arts Education.
