AASA, The School Superintendents Association
Awards of $1,000 to USA women to recognize outstanding leadership in the field of education. Awards will be given to female superintendents, administrators, and other women in school leadership positions. Nominations and applications are accepted for the following three award categories:
-The Superintendent Award – awarded to any female superintendent.
-The Central Office/Principal Award – awarded to any female central office or building level leader. Equivalent job titles may include: assistant superintendent, central office administrator, school based principal/assistant principal.
-The School Driven Leadership Award – awarded to any female non superintendent/principal in a leadership role. Equivalent job titles may include: Guidance Chair, Supervisor etc.

Each award recipient will receive $1,000 and a plaque.
Each award recipient will receive travel and lodging for the AASA National Conference on Education.
The AASA Women in School Leadership Award program is designed to recognize the exceptional leadership of active, front-line female leaders who are making a difference in the lives of students every day.
Please review the guidelines for the award category for which you intend to nominate/apply.
Completed applications must be received online at AASA by October 12, 2018.
-A panel of distinguished leaders in education will select two finalists in each category for the AASA Women in School Leadership Awards.
-The decision will be based on the applications submitted online and supporting documents.
-The judges will virtually interview the four finalists.
-Winners are announced at the AASA National Conference on Education.
The finalists are announced on November 19, 2018.
The winners are announced at the 2019 AASA National Conference on Education on Friday, February 15, 2019.
