Grants to Michigan nonprofit organizations, schools, and government agencies for programs that benefit the residents of Shelby Township. The funding is intended for programs that address community needs and improve the quality of life for all age groups. Past grants have funded programs that focused on health, safety, human services, the arts, recreation, education, and beautification.

The Women’s Fund of the Shelby Community Foundation (SCF) accepts grant applications prior to the Women’s Luncheon each Fall. Grants requested must benefit women or families in the Shelby Township area.

Term of Contract:

Grant recipients are required to complete project activities in one year.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

-Charitable programs run by nonprofit organizations, schools, or local units of government are eligible to apply.
-Eligible programs must target a population in Shelby Township, or be a project to improve the quality of life in Shelby Township.
-The requesting organization must be Shelby Township-based OR the project target population must be Shelby Township residents.

-These funds may not be used for capital expenditures.

Pre-Application Information:

Grant funds are awarded 3 times per year during the months of February, June, and October with a deadline for submission of applications being on or before February 1st, June 1st and October 1st.

The Women’s Fund accepts Grant Applications prior to the Women’s Luncheon each Fall. Those applications are due September 1st.
