Grants to Maryland nonprofit organizations for art related educational activities in eligible counties. Funding is intended to support projects and programs that address school and community needs and may be used for either new projects or to expand existing ones. Eligible disciplines include, but are not limited to, music, theater, dance, visual arts, and literary arts. Funded projects must serve the residents of Cecil County.

The Arts in Education (AiE) Program is designed to promote, strengthen, and enhance the arts and arts education in Cecil County's elementary and secondary schools and other community settings.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Requests may be for $300 and greater, or for less than $300.

Term of Contract:

FY 2021: July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

A copy of IRS letter confirming tax-exempt status is required of applicants.

The Arts in Education (AiE) Program supports activities in Cecil County's elementary and secondary schools and other community settings.

Pre-Application Information:

Deadline August 7, 2020 for requests $300 and greater; Quarterly Deadline for requests of less than $300.

Applications must be postmarked no later than August 7, 2020, for requests greater than $300. Phone calls to the Arts Council regarding the application will not be accepted on that day.

Electronic transmissions of grant form will not be accepted.

Awarded organizations agree to send a representative to the official awards ceremony on November 6, 2020, 6:00 – 11:00 p.m..
