Grants to Pennsylvania nonprofit organizations in eligible regions for community needs. Funding is intended for scientific, educational, charitable, literary, and cultural purposes. Funding may be used for programs, activities, and services that meet community needs in South Central Pennsylvania with an emphasis on Dauphin and Cumberland Counties.

Additional Eligibility Criteria
Kline Foundation accepts grant applications from non-profit organizations that are exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Grants are made to non-profit organizations that are located in or provide their primary service in South Central Pennsylvania, with an emphasis in Dauphin and Cumberland Counties.
Ineligible
The Organization cannot be a private Foundation under Section 509(a).
Normally grants are not made to State-affiliated schools, colleges, or universities.
No grants are made to individuals and no grants are made to organizations for purposes of propaganda, lobbying, attempting to influence legislation, or for participating in any way in a political campaign.
Pre-Application Information
Applications may be submitted at any time; however, please note the following deadline dates for each funding period:
To be considered for funds awarded in June 2023, your application must be received on or before Monday, March 27, 2023.
To be considered for funds awarded in December 2023, your application must be received on or before Monday, September 18, 2023.
Applications must be received in the office by 5:00 p.m. on the specified deadline dates above. Any application received after a specified deadline date will be considered in the next funding period.
