Awards to Maryland individuals and businesses for significant contributions to the arts in Howard County. Awards will be given in four categories: individual artists, arts educators, arts support from businesses (large or small) and individuals, and a legacy award for lifetime achievements.
More details on the awards categories are as follows:
- Outstanding Artist: presented to a person who has contributed a high level of talent and vision to the artistic life of the community.
- Outstanding Arts Educator: presented to a person who has made an outstanding contribution to arts education in Howard County.
- Outstanding Business or Community Supporter: presented to a business (large or small) or individual that demonstrates a record of commitment to the arts in Howard County.
- Legacy in the Arts Award: recognizes an individual or group for lifetime achievements in the arts in Howard County and is presented at the discretion of the Howie Committee.
