Grants to Connecticut nonprofit organizations for essential items needed by underprivileged children throughout the State. Funding is intended to support programs and projects in the areas of Education, Human Services, and Health. Priority is given to direct impact programs that provide medical care, housing, food, and clothing.

Term of Contract:

Grants from the Sipolin Children's Fund are 1 year in duration. Applicants will not be awarded a grant for more than 3 consecutive years.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The Foundation supports tax-exempt, IRS-qualified 501(c)(3) public charities. Proposals will thus be considered from eligible, tax-exempt organizations in certain 501(c)(3) subsections as defined by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Geographic Focus: Connecticut

The Foundation typically does not provide support for start-up nonprofits or programs that are not yet established, yet is open to discussing possible opportunities with the applicant.

Grant requests for capital projects are generally not considered.

Pre-Application Information:

The deadline for application to the Olga Sipolin Children's Fund is November 1.

Applicants will be notified of grant decisions by letter within 2 to 3 months after the proposal deadline.

Applicants must submit online applications by 11:59 p.m. on the day of the foundation’s deadline date. If the deadline falls on a weekend or a federally recognized holiday, applications are due on the next business day by 11:59 p.m.

Applicant inquiries can only be answered during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. EST. Please be advised that technical support is not provided on weekends for password resets or general technical inquiries. Therefore it is best to start your application early, seek technical support during business hours, and to submit your application in advance of the due date.
