Grant Description

Awards of $5,000 to Minnesota nonprofit organizations for achievements in increasing access to the arts in the Counties of Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott and Washington. Successful candidates must demonstrate how they:

- Cause artists and arts activities to thrive, and/or
- Integrate the arts into the social fabric and identity of a community or communities, and/or
- Enhance understanding of the public value of the arts.

  • Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS
  • Others (see text field entitled "Additional Eligibility Criteria" for clarification)

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Nominees must meet standard MRAC eligibility requirements:

• Annual expenses under $400,000
• Located in the 7-county metropolitan area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, Washington)
• 501c3 non-profit status, or a fiscally sponsored informal group
• For-profits and individual artists are not eligible for this award
