Grants of up to $5,000 to Pottawattamie County, Iowa neighborhood groups, and $500 to individuals, for projects that support positive relationships, and connect residents and resident-led groups across neighborhoods so they can learn from one another and take action on common concerns.
Projects can include but are not limited to: beautification, literacy programs, after-school activities, block parties, neighborhood fairs and carnivals, block clean-ups and community gardening, parent-teacher organizations, recreation, neighborhood-wide art showcases, development of neighborhood plans, large-scale community organizing efforts, reserving meeting space, and incorporating your neighborhood.
Every neighborhood/group in the county is encouraged to apply for funding.
