Grant of $1,000 to a Canada or International graduate student or early-career researcher in the field of health and population sciences to attend a conference. Grant funds must be used for travel expenses. The conference focuses on issues related to population, including migration, contraception, and abortion. The Psychosocial Workshop is held in conjunction with the Population Association of America (PAA) annual meeting, a professional meeting of demographers. The 2021 PAA will be held in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Henry David International Travel Grant was established to support a doctoral-level reproductive health/population science student or professional from abroad with a demonstrated interest in human sexual/reproductive behavior, sexual/reproductive health, or population issues. The funds are designated to support travel to, and participation in, the annual Psychosocial Workshop.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The grant will be awarded to a doctoral-level reproductive health/population science student or professional from abroad (i.e., U.S. citizens are not eligible).
Applicants must:
- Be graduate students conducting dissertation research, or early career researchers with no more than 10 years postgraduate experience
- Have demonstrated interest in human sexual and reproductive health and behavior, or related population concerns

APF does not allow institutional indirect or overhead costs.

In 2021, PAA will be held in St. Louis, Missouri, May 5–8.
