East Bay Leadership Council (EBLC)
Awards to East Bay, California individuals, youth, service organizations, and businesses in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties to honor exemplary contributions to making the local community a more vibrant place. This award program was established to acknowledge businesses, leaders, and organizations who have given generously of their time, talent, and resources.
Awards are given in several categories:
Corporate Philanthropist - Recognizes community-minded corporate citizens who through their foundation, corporate giving program, and/or employees, commit significant resources to assist organizations in meeting community needs.
Individual Philanthropist - Pays tribute to an exceptional individual and/or family who generously provides a lead gift, substantially assists a non-profit organization, or offers philanthropic leadership.
Foundation or Community Grant Maker - Recognizes a community grant-making organization that offers funds, encouragement, and motivation to non-profits and grant makers while supporting non-profits organizational goals.
Collaborative Project - Recognizes a partnership or group demonstrating exceptional innovation and creativity resulting in broad-based community benefit. Their activities excel at building support raising funds, and increasing public awareness.
Volunteer of the Year - Recognizes a volunteer(s) who starts, supports, and/or enhances the programs and services that an organization provides, and makes a difference in the organization's ability to serve its community.
Next Generation - Pays tribute to a young individual (18 or under) whose activities excel at building support, raising funds, and/or increasing public awareness for the benefit of a non-profit, school, or community need.
Lifetime Achievement - Presented to an exceptional individual or East Bay-based organization who motivates others to give, commits time and energy without compensation, and provides talent for strategy, relationship enhancement and the successful solicitation of donations.

How to nominate:
Step 1: Review the award categories.
Step 2: Are you affiliated with a nonprofit organization? If not, find a nonprofit that would be excited to participate and encourage them to submit the nomination.
Step 3: Choose your nominee and check to make sure they are interested in participating in the awards and available for the awards ceremony breakfast on November 8, 2018 at the Blackhawk Museums in Danville.
Step 4: Prepare a narrative (500 words max) on the reasons why your nominee deserves to be honored. Tell us a little bit about their background and how their generosity of time/talent/treasure has made a difference for the East Bay (Contra Costa and Alameda County).
This is your chance to make your nominee really stand out! Save this narrative in a word document and save it for now.
Step 5: Scroll down for the nomination form and submit by Friday, September 7, 2018.
Step 6: Honorees will be announced by the end of September and all nominators will be contacted with the results.
