Idaho Association of Museums (IAM) and Idaho State Historical Society
Grants ranging from $50 to $300 to Idaho individuals and institutions to cover registration and travel expenses for an upcoming heritage conference. This conference is intended to engage statewide partners in history, preservation, archaeology, and museums in a cross-discipline conference that allows for inspiration, collaboration, and networking.
Whether you are an archaeologist, teacher, student, community leader, museum professional or volunteer, amateur preservationist, or simply a local history buff, the IAM invites you to attend the 2017 Idaho’s Heritage Conference in Boise, from September 20-22.

Stipend amounts will be awarded based on distance the applicant will be traveling to Boise (not round-trip): $50 for 50-199 miles distance, $200 for 200-299 miles distance, and $300 for 300+ miles distance.
The grants will help cover the costs of travel to, and registration for, the 2017 Idaho’s Heritage Conference, which will take place on September 20-22, 2017.
Applicants must be current or new individual or institutional members of the IAM; new membership payments may be remitted with the stipend application (see Pre-Application Information below for more on how to join).

To apply, please describe your interest in attending the conference, financial need, and anticipated benefits for yourself and/or your institution. Please limit your answer to 300 words, and be sure to include the following information: name, address, phone number, email address, organization and title.
All documents are due by August 25th.
A committee will review application letters and notify recipients by August 31, 2017. Travel stipends will be distributed on the first day of the conference.
Membership Requirements and How to Join:
- Applicants must be current or new individual or institutional members of the IAM; new membership payments may be remitted with the stipend application.
- Individual membership dues are $10, and institutional membership is from $15-$50, and can be made when you apply for the travel grant.
- Those who are not presently IAM members may request a membership application from Dulce or visit the “Become a Member” page on the IAM website at: https://www.idahomuseums.org/membership
