Grants of up to $50,000 to North Central Kansas nonprofit organizations and institutions for programs and projects that aim to improve the quality of life for local residents living within a 50-mile radius of Minneapolis. Funding is intended for nonprofit projects, and may be used exclusively for the purchase of physical goods, such as materials, supplies, tools, etc.

Any project that will help make a community a better place is eligible. Previous grants funded technology, electronics, playground equipment for schools; books and supplies for libraries; equipment/appliances for local organizations; building materials for facility renovations; and training materials for support groups.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Grants are awarded in increments of $500 or greater, up to $50,000 for one project, to institutions or organizations. A maximum of $50,000 will be awarded in any one year. G.L. Huyett reserves the right to award less than $50,000 in a single year.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Projects must be nonprofit, and institutions and organizations must be located within a 50-mile radius of Minneapolis, KS.

Note: Funds will not be reimbursed or paid out for operating costs, gift cards, existing expenses, or materials purchased prior to grant award date, or goods consumed in day-to-day activities.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications must be postmarked or emailed on or before October 1, 2019. Applications will be accepted from August 1 to October 1, reviewed by the Project Drive Selection Committee, and awarded prior to Thanksgiving in November.
