Grants to Southington, Connecticut nonprofit organizations to enhance existing healthcare services for local residents. Applicants are required to contact program staff at least seven business days prior to the LOI deadline to determine eligibility.

Requests will be accepted for capital projects, programs or initiatives that will improve the health and well-being of Southington residents.

The proposal must fit into one of the identified community health and health care focus areas:
- Access to and affordability of health care;
- Mental health and substance use;
- Supports to meet the health and health care needs of an aging population. For example, care for home-bound seniors and companions;
- Better integrated health care (especially the integration of primary and behavioral health and includes initiatives that promote a healthy lifestyle).

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants will be available from the Barnes Memorial Trust to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations serving the Southington community.

Pre-Application Information:

Potential applicants must contact Jarre Betts, Vice President of Programs, or Kate Kerchaert, Program Officer, to discuss any ideas and applications. Applicants must call at least 7 days prior to the grant application deadline to discuss the proposed project and to determine eligibility.

LOIs must be completed on the Online Grants Center by 4 p.m. on February 9, 2018. Organizations that are invited to submit a full grant proposal will be contacted by the end of February.
