Grants starting at $10,000 to Arizona nonprofits, municipalities, agencies, schools and IHEs for local capacity-building, development, and sustainability in the Globe/Miami region. Funding is intended for priority areas that are vital to the community's ability to become more economically and socially sustainable: community and economic development, environment, education and training, and health and wellness.

Applicant must align with one of Globe/Miami's Community Priorities and Focus Areas and they must deliver one of the identified Community Outcomes for your community. Priorities areas include:

Community and Economic Development:
- Business Diversification, Support, and Attraction
- Community Engagement
- Culture, Arts, and History
- Employment
- Housing
- Infrastructure Development
- Tourism Development
- Transportation

Education and Training:
- Career/College Readiness
- Early Childhood Education and Services
- Equal Access - Education and Technology
- K-12 Education
- Parental & Community Support
- Teacher Training and Retention

- Community appearance
- Land use
- Conservation, stewardship, and sustainability

Health and Wellness:
- Substance abuse prevention
- Family and youth engagement
- Fitness, nutrition, and other Health Education

Requests for funds for this application should be $10,000 or more.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Only IRS determined tax exempt entities such as nonprofits with a 501(c)3 designation, schools and government institutions are eligible for social investment dollars from the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation.

Pre-Application Information:

Application Window: January 15 – March 15
Application Status Notification: June 15

Please note, the maximum indirect cost allowed by the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation is 6% of direct project costs.
