Grants ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 to Prince Edward Island artists, bands and music industry professionals to enhance sales, marketability and professional business development. Funding is intended to support three programs targeting applicants at various stages of their musical career.
The Emerging Music Program is designed to help new and less established artists gain a foothold in the Music Industry. This is achieved by investing in projects that will enhance the applicant’s sales and marketability, as well as foster the development of the applicant’s business skills.
The Export Development Program is designed is for artists and music industry professionals (MIPs) who demonstrate the potential to succeed in new or non-established markets outside of Prince Edward Island. Examples of eligible activity include the creation of a targeted demo, marketing and promotion, website development, touring and showcase expenditure, and professional business development.
The Career Investment Program is designed to make a substantial investment in Export-Ready and Exporting artists who have demonstrated a commitment to a career in the Music Industry and are currently exporting their product to markets outside of PEI.
