Request a Grant Writer

Grants ranging from $500 to $7,500 to Texas, USA, and Israel nonprofits for programs and services that promote the vitality of the Jewish community. Priority is given to programs that will benefit Bexar County residents, then Texas, national, and then Israel. Funding categories may include the following: religious, social and human services, education, arts and culture, youth, medical and science, and conservation and preservation.

Grants will be made primarily for new projects or programs.

Applications should include:
- A description of the specific purpose of the grant you are requesting.
- Include information on how the program you are seeking funding for will benefit the larger Jewish community.
- Offer a statement of need and explain why this program might be of a priority interest to the community.
- Describe in detail how you will implement the program, who will staff the program, the specific nature of
the program (for example, is it educational, community building, etc.)

Estimated Size of Grant:

The minimum request for grant consideration is $500 and the maximum grant request is $7,500.

Term of Contract:

There is a two (2) year limit of funding for grants. Programs that receive funding should not have any expectation of continued funding for the second year and must resubmit a grant application in accordance with the guidelines.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants will be awarded to 501(c) 3 organizations.

Grant funds will not be awarded for capital expenditures although proposals for equipment or refurbishing will be considered.

Grants will not be made to reimburse expenses previously incurred by the applicant.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications must be mailed or delivered to the Foundation by April 5, 2018.

If your organization received a grant last year, you may apply for a second year.
