Grants to North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia nonprofit organizations to benefit communities where the funding source has a business presence. Grant funds may be used to support programs and projects, equipment, or for general support. Funding areas include environment, community, the arts, higher education, and education and well-being of children, at-risk individuals, families, and groups. Funding is intended to benefit Oxford and Nash County, North Carolina, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and Richmond and Kenbridge, Virginia.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organizations organizations in areas where Universal employees live and work are eligible.

Geographic scope: Primarily, Oxford, NC, Nash County, NC, Lancaster, PA, Richmond, VA and Kenbridge, VA

The Foundation does not support the following:
- Non-Profits that have not been designated 501(c)(3)
- Individuals or an individual's project or program
- Political, advocacy or labor organizations or fundraising events
- Events or programs where the grant is not fully tax deductible
- Organizations located outside the areas in which the Company has a physical presence
- Organizations or programs that restrict or otherwise limit membership and services based on race, religion, color, creed, sex, age or national origin

Pre-Application Information:

All proposal packages for Fiscal Year 2022 should be submitted between April 1, 2021 and June 15, 2021.
