Grants of up to $5,000 to Connecticut nonprofit organizations for programs, capital funding, and equipment to benefit women and girls in the towns served by the Foundation. Funding is intended for programs that address the needs of women and promote economic self-sufficiency through education, financial literacy, and social services.

The 20 towns served by Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation include: Barkhamsted, Bethlehem, Colebrook, Cornwall, Falls Village/Canaan, Goshen, Hartland, Harwinton, Kent, Litchfield, Morris, New Hartford, Norfolk, North Canaan, Salisbury/Lakeville, Sharon, Torrington, Warren, Washington, and Winsted/Winchester.
