Grants of up to $50,000 to Connecticut nonprofits, schools, and municipal and governmental agencies in eligible towns for environmental programs. First-time applicants must contact the Foundation prior to submitting a full application. Funding is intended for initiatives that will preserve environmental habitats, engage youth in environmental activities, and focus on environmental justice.
The Community Foundation strives to foster a greater region-wide understanding of – and to promote action on – the relationship between the health of the natural world and the health and well-being of local residents. For 2021, the Foundation will consider environmental grants that benefit any of the 42 towns in the Foundation's region.
