Grants to Vermont amateur hockey associations affiliated with the funding source to increase participation and promote hockey development within the State. Examples of proposed ideas include cross-ice divider purchase, rink hard divider purchase, One Goal equipment purchases, coaching education programs, and on-ice and off-ice training materials.
Funding will be awarded to member associations that offer the best plan for:
-Growing participation in recreational ice hockey in their area
-Bringing new players age 8 and under into the sport
-Promoting the growth of Disabled Hockey
-Promoting the use of cross-ice at our lower levels of play
-Promote the growth and development of Girls’ hockey
-Promoting Diversity in Hockey
-Promote the USA Hockey American Development Model and the implementation of a Long-Term Athlete Development program.
