Grants to Lancaster County, South Carolina nonprofit organizations and agencies for community benefit programs. Funding will be considered for the focus areas of education, financial stability, health, and safety. This application is intended to verify eligibility for potential projects or programs that meet the following objectives:

- Education: Assisting children, youth and adults reach their potential through education
- Income: Helping families become financially stable and independent
- Health and Safety: Developing a healthy and safe community

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

United Way of Lancaster County seeks funding partnerships with nonprofit organizations and agencies that operate programs with positive measurable results on the above mentioned key community building issues.

Organizations must be IRS 501(c)(3) organizations engaged in health and human service work.

Pre-proposal Conference:

Informational meetings about the eligibility process will be held on an “as needed” basis at the United Way of Lancaster County office.

Appointments/Reservations are required. Please contact the office for more information.

Pre-Application Information:

All Eligibility Applications must be received by the United Way office by noon on November 22, 2017.

Agencies deemed eligible will receive a 2018-2019 Program Funding Application on or before January 19, 2018.

Please note: Eligible Partner status allows an agency to apply for funding, but does not guarantee funding.
