A competition with prizes valued at $15,000 is open to Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Washington DC, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, and Spain individuals who are launching new online businesses.
The competition runs from September 22, 2015 through March 31, 2016, but Shopify users can sign up any time. After you register for the competition, complete calendar months between October 1, 2015 and May 31, 2016 will be used in the calculation of gross sales. Please note that only the first $1,000 (U.S.) of any sale will count toward the calculation of an entrant’s Gross Sales.
Winners will be chosen based on Highest Gross Sales for the two months with the highest revenue, whether those months are consecutive or not. For example, if your store's top two sales months are October and December, your Highest Gross Sales would be calculated by adding October and December's sales.
Each prize consists of a trip to New York City in August 2016 for the business owner and one guest. The winners will attend meetings and events at Oheka Castle for the Prize winner with mentors to be selected by Sponsors. The approximate retail value of each Prize is $15,000.

Participants must agree to operate a business on Shopify.com for a minim of sixty (60) consecutive days during the Competition Period and continue to operate that business on Shopify.com through prize awarding.
