Grant Description

Grants of up to $500 to Wisconsin preK-12 teachers to support outdoor field study that gets kids and teachers learning outdoors. Funding is intended for forestry education experiences that support topics currently being taught in the applicant’s curriculum.

The field study site must be in Wisconsin and can include state parks, natural areas, nature centers, and other outdoor locations.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Teachers from all grade levels and subject areas are encouraged to apply, including early childhood teachers.

Funding from this first round pilot program is only available for outdoor forestry education field experiences that support topics currently being taught in the applicant’s curriculum.

One application per teacher is allowed. Staff at the field trip site location may apply on behalf of a teacher with their permission by submitting a complete application form that also includes the optional "Fiscal Agent" information found at the end of the application.
