Awards to Ontario youth and adult volunteers who have been actively committed to volunteering in an organization that has been in existence for at least five years. Organizations may nominate up to 9 volunteers and up to 6 nominees may be adults. Nominees must have been active in the organization beyond simple membership responsibilities and must not have been compensated for the activities for which they are being acknowledged.

Adults are recognized by the length of time they've volunteered with one organization, ranging from five to 65 years of continuous service. Youth (24 years old and under) are recognized for two or more years of continuous service.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The recipients are given a stylized trillium service pin and a personalized certificate to acknowledge their years of service.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Organizations that have been in existence for a minimum of five years.

A nominee must be:
- A resident and volunteer in Ontario
- An active member in an organization that has existed for at least five years

You cannot nominate someone:
- Who has passed away
- Who has been paid for their volunteer work
- Who volunteered the services as part of their regular work or professional responsibilities

Pre-Application Information:

The 2021 deadline has been extended to May 1, 2021.

If the deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, you can submit your nomination before 5 p.m. the next business day. If your nomination is received after the deadline, it will be considered for next year’s award.

The awards are presented at ceremonies across Ontario from March to June. Each recipient can bring one guest and their organization can invite two representatives.
