Lupus Foundation of America
Grants to Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia lupus patients and their families for financial assistance to cover unanticipated medical costs not covered by community resources and disability assistance. Funding will be provided for home health care, childcare, certain medications, transportation, personal care items, or other products and services that will help alleviate some of the hardships associated with living with lupus.

The applicant must be a lupus patient living in Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia.
Funds are limited; as such, this program does not pay for hospital bills or recurrent living expenses, such as utility bills or rent. Services or items covered by other community resources will not be provided by the Fund.
You will need to complete the Patient Application Form and return it to Lupus Foundation of America DC/MD/VA (see the Supporting Documents section below).
Please give the Physician Verification Form (see the Supporting Documents section below) to the doctor who currently treats you for lupus and have them return the form via mail or fax.
If you have a Social Worker or other health care professional working on your behalf, give the Social Services Verification to him/her (see the Supporting Documents section below).
