Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $5,000 to Los Angeles, California nonprofits and schools in the South Robertson neighborhood for projects benefiting a large number of residents, open to the public, and improving community qualify of life. It is recommended that applicants submit questions before the 2015 holiday season.

Previously funded projects include school gardens, art projects, fresh fruit programs for elementary students, community resource and therapy centers, neighborhood events which are open to the public, and more. The grantor is also interested in exciting new projects that they are not currently aware of.

Estimated Size of Grant:

No single NPG application can exceed $5,000 but you are encouraged to apply with smaller numbers in order to fund as many worthy projects as possible with the $5,000 allocated in this grant cycle.

Term of Contract:

Submitted projects for which funds are requested must be completed prior to June 30, 2016.

You must be a non-religious 501(c)3 organization that serves the community of stakeholders within the SORO NC Boundaries OR an LAUSD school within the boundaries.

If you have questions about the paperwork, you can direct them to treasurer@soronc.org. Please note that you cannot be assured of a timely response if you contact the office after the 2015 holiday season, so plan ahead and contact the office early with your questions.

Be prepared to attend the SORO NC Board meeting on February 18, 2016 where accepted and recommended projects will have an opportunity to present their ideas in person to the Board and answer any questions. It is strongly recommended that you attend this meeting in person.
