Grants of up to $10,000 to Florida nonprofits, public schools, or government agencies for capacity building and projects that will benefit local residents in eligible regions. Funding areas include arts, education, human services, animal welfare, environment, health, and civic engagement. This year, the Funding Source would also like to hear how proposals address diversity, equity and inclusion. Projects should serve residents of Manatee County.

Applicants may apply in the following categories:

  • Program Grant: Investing in results for those you serve
  • Capacity Grant: Investing in results for your organization

You may request up to $10,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

- Your organization is based in Manatee County or the program / location(s) for which you are applying serve Manatee County residents.
- Agency is 501(c)(3), public school or government.
- Eligible 501(c)(3) organizations for MCF’s annual competitive grant application process must have a current profile in The Giving Partner. See for more information.

Deadline: Friday, January 31, 2020 at 5:00 PM.

The application deadline for the 2020 competitive grant cycle is January 31, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. Award letters will be sent by April 1, 2020.

- Program Grants: The amount requested should reflect the total amount needed to fund the program at specific location(s) in Manatee County for a specified period of time, or the total amount needed to fund a definable part of the program (materials,therapies, etc.). The committee does not wish to be a partial funder of a program.
- Capacity Grants: The amount requested should reflect the total amount needed for the capacity building investment. The committee does not wish to be a partial funder of a larger project.
