Award to recognize a Virginia individual, nonprofit or organization whose leadership, activities or support has significantly benefited education, education employees or students in Virginia. An individual recipient need not be a Virginian, but he or she should reflect the philosophy and principles of the Association.

The award is presented by the Board of Directors and is the highest award presented by VEA.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

- The award is intended for an individual or an organization.
- Individual nominees may be public or private citizens, and selection of finalists will be made regardless of age, sex, race, color, or creed.
- An individual recipient need not be a Virginian, but he or she should reflect the philosophy and principles of the Association.
- If an individual nominee is eligible for VEA membership, such membership is a requirement.
