Grants of up to $8,000 to North Carolina individual farmers and grants of up to $10,000 to collaborative groups to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in agriculture. Applicants must submit a brief inquiry prior to applying. The purpose of this program is to help farmers develop new sources of income by providing cost-share grants.
The economic impact of the program has two components, an investment impact resulting from grantees’ spending on new equipment, buildings, and other improvements; and an operational impact resulting from the expansion of grantees’ farming operations.
