Grants of up to $5,000 and grants of up to $500 to Ohio nonprofit organizations and students in eligible areas for projects that respond to the needs of local children and youth, ages birth to 18. Funding is intended to support charitable activities, as well as student projects under the direction of a faculty advisor. Eligible programs serve youth in Knox County.

In addition to grants to charitable organizations, the Youth Philanthropy Initiative invites students from any Knox County school to apply for a student-led charitable project. These projects can be school- or community-based but should be a unique and creative philanthropic project addressing the YPI priorities and focused on helping other students or youth.

- For charitable organizations: up to $5,000
- For student-led projects: up to $500

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Organizations must be a 501(c)3 or eligible to receive tax-deductible charitable contributions or have a qualifying 501(c)3 organization serve as fiscal agent.

Students from any Knox County school, under the direction of a faculty advisor, may apply for a student-led charitable project.
