Grants of $5,000, $10,000, or $15,000 to North Carolina nonprofits for programs that focus on children's education and health. Priority is given to programs that aim to impact underserved populations. Funding intended to help organizations make a positive impact on the grassroots level.

Previous grants have been made to cover the cost for kids with autism to attend camp, provide underserved children in the community with new beds, and funding a food bank to promote healthy lifestyles to children.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Grants are awarded annually at one of three levels of funding: $5,000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

To receive grant funding from the Kids 'N Community Foundation, organizations must:
-Be a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service
-Share the mission of the Kids 'N Community Foundation to strive to meet the health and education needs of children with a focus in impacting underserved populations
-Serve children in the state of North Carolina with a focus in health, education or underserved populations
-Be in operation for three or more years
-Must be available for site visits, provide use of funds summary reports and recognize the Kids 'N Community Foundation as a donor

The Kids 'N Community Foundation's grant funding does not generally support the following:
-Event sponsorship or fundraisers, including but not limited to galas, awareness walks and golf tournaments
-General operating costs, staff salaries, capital campaigns, endowments or other reserve funds
-PTA's, booster clubs, churches, or political organizations
