Grants to Illinois nonprofits and government agencies for programs that will benefit girls and young women in eligible communities. Programs should develop opportunities that support young women and girls in reaching their highest potential. Funding will be awarded to programs that promote systemic change, increases the range of options for women and girls, and fosters self-sufficiency. Funding may support a new or existing program.

Programs must be available to residents of McLean, DeWitt, Livingston or Logan counties; however, programs do not have to serve all four counties

The Foundation will give great consideration to programs that have the potential to be on-going and self-sufficient beyond the time of funding, offer solutions to address the program goal by building on proven practical methods, facilitate cooperation and collaboration among organizations, and utilize clear methods of measuring and reporting results with emphasis on objective, quantifiable measurements.

Based on grants awarded in the last cycle: $2,000 - $19,225

Grant funds must be expended by January 31, 2018.

Applicants must have tax-exempt status under Section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code, operate under a fiscal agent that is a 501 (c) 3 organization, or be a local unit of local, county, state or federal government.

Faith-based organizations may apply for funding provided the program is non-sectarian and available to the community at large.

One or more organizations may collaborate and apply together for a common program.

Not Funded:

- Non program-related expenses
