Grant Description
Grants of up to $500 and $1,000 to Citrus County, Florida public schools teachers, departments, and Resource Centers for literacy and STEM projects. Funding is intended for projects that will enhance classroom instruction and class curriculum. Funding may be used for the following purposes:

- Training/Conferences
- Admission Fees for Field trips
- Classroom Materials
- Room Rental Fees
- Travel
- Program Supplies
- Computer Software and Hardware
- Postage-for student projects
- Other Equipment (not computers)
- iPads, iPods, Nooks, Kindles
- Printing- of student work

Additional Eligibility Criteria
Citrus County, Florida public schools teachers, departments, and Resource Centers may apply.

Unallowable expenses:

- General Administrative Expenses
- Capital Improvements
- Salaries/Benefits/Prof. Contract
- Decorative Items
- Workers for grant management
- Awards/incentives
- Indirect Office Expenses
- Fund Raising
- Internet Service, Telephone
- Pre-award costs
- Repairs and maintenance
- Food/Beverage/Entertainment
- Out-of- state travel without prior permission
- Support of Interscholastic athletics
- Post-Secondary Scholarships
- Recognition Programs
- No Flexible Seating

Pre-Application Information
Application must be received on or before Friday, September 29, 2017 at 4:00 PM.

Submissions will be reviewed by October 19, 2017. Members from CCEF’s Review Committee may contact you for additional information on your project/submission prior to making final funding decisions. Winners will be notified by October 27, 2017.

Grantees must attend a grant awards celebration for recipients and Foundation members on November 9, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Curtis Peterson Auditorium (Date/Time subject to change).

Please note: Checks for classroom grants will be made payable to the schools in which the teacher is on staff.

Estimated Size of Grant
Up to $500 if applying individually and $1,000 if 2 or more teachers are applying together.

Term of Contract
All items must be purchased and the project must be completed by April 13, 2018.
