Grants of up to $3,000 to Wisconsin nonprofit organizations and government agencies for programs to benefit local children and youth in eligible locations. Funding for Coronavirus (COVID-19) relief for youth-serving organizations is also available. Funding is intended to support organizations that promote youth development. The geographic focus for Youth Programs and Hiwela Youth Camperships is Winnebago County. For COVID-19 relief funding, eligible organizations must serve residents of Winnebago County, Waushara County, Green Lake County, and/or the City of Ripon.
Youth Programs - Grants from a variety of youth-related field of interest funds held by the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation typically support projects or programs that:
Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, certain nonprofit youth camps and organizations have the option to apply for COVID-19 relief funding. COVID-19 relief funding can be used to support program operating expenses from April 1 through December 31, 2021.
Hiwela Youth Camperships: Grants are also awarded to provide scholarships for children in-need to attend camp in order to participate in outdoor learning experiences that encourage youth to better understand and live in harmony with the outdoors. Funding priority is given to overnight camping experiences. The amount of financial assistance provided by a Hiwela Campership to any individual is not to exceed 50% of the cost to attend camp.
