Grants of up to $1,000 and grants of up to $5,000 to Utah counties, municipalities, regional associations, and nonprofit organizations for economic development projects. Funding is intended to support local projects that will encourage capital investment and job growth.

Types of Match Grants:
- Special Projects Match Grants help Utah communities with unique projects that foster economic growth and development.
- Professional Development Match Grants enhance the professionalism and expertise of economic developers in Utah.

Selections are based on the quality of the project and how well the project fits the purpose of the Community Match Grants Program.

Term of Contract:

Funding must be used within in the fiscal year associated with the match grant cycle.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

- Eligible applicants include municipalities, counties, organized regional associations, or non-profit entities acting on behalf and in concert with the aforementioned entities, all of whom are involved with economic development on a local or regional level.

- Applications from organizations sponsoring a "regional" approach will be considered. However, coordination between the applicant organization and its communities must be demonstrated.

Ineligible Expenses:
Costs for such things as office rent, equipment rental or purchase, advertising, administrative costs, staff salaries, direct retail and travel promotion projects are ineligible. Project costs incurred prior to written notification of approval by EDCUtah are not eligible. EDCUtah is not responsible for project cost overruns.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications are due by July 3rd, 2019.

Reimbursements are available for one-half the cost of a pre-approved project up to $5,000. Reimbursements by EDCUtah will be made when the project is completed. A project is complete when all activities covered by a grant agreement have concluded.

Reporting on completed projects is due by June 1st, 2020.
