Grants ranging from $500 to $25,000 to Palo Alto area, California nonprofit organizations for programs serving local families and children. A preliminary application is required before submitting a full application. Funds are intended for program support, childcare provision improvements, and long-term renewable support. The Foundation prefers to fund organizations that serve a great many people rather than provide intensive service to very few, and where support can make a significant impact.
The Holiday Fund desires to support not only organizations that are providing services to families and children “in crisis,” but also groups that are engaged in efforts to strengthen families, neighborhoods, and community, and that might be considered preventative in nature.

Program support grants, generally range from $500 to $10,000.
Child care capital grants, range from $500 to $10,000.
Multi-year renewable grants range from $15,000 to $25,000 per year for up to three years.
