Grants averaging from $5,000 to $10,000 to Connecticut nonprofits and municipalities in Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills area for critical services that will help women and children victims of domestic violence and abuse. Priority will be given to direct service programs that serve victims of physical, emotional or psychological abuse, sexual assault and domestic violence.
Funding is also intended to help address immediate crises and to provide a framework of emotional support and guidance that will promote the development of self-confidence, pride, dignity and personal advancement to those who have suffered from such destructive behavior.
