Grants generally up to $2,000 to Colorado artists and cultural arts organizations and groups for arts events and projects that benefit the residents of Lafayette. Funding is intended to support performing, visual, and language arts programs through capacity building, infrastructure development, provision of resources, and programming.

LCAC’s mission is to promote, nurture and celebrate the arts in Lafayette, Colorado by connecting artists, building partnerships, and enhancing and supporting diversity.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Awards are usually $2,000 or less. Higher amounts are considered.

Term of Contract:

Projects must occur between January 1, 2020 and December 18, 2020.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Lafayette Cultural Arts Commission (LCAC) invites applications from Lafayette artists and cultural arts organizations and groups.

Applicants or project coordinators must be US citizens, eighteen years or older

All projects must occur in Lafayette.

Artists and cultural arts groups outside of Lafayette are also welcome to apply for any event(s) that would be held in Lafayette.

Funds will not be provided for projects that have occurred before 2020, capital improvements, fundraising events, receptions, existing general operating budgets, salaries of employees for organizations, or reductions of deficits from past programs.

- Subcommittee Receives and Reviews Grants: September 17-October 17, 2019
- LCAC subcommittee presents recommendations to full Commission: October 22, 2019
- Applicants notified: November 4, 2019
- Grant projects may begin: January 1, 2020
- Fund Distribution: January 22, 2020
- Grant projects end: December 18, 2020
- Final reports due: 30 days after project is completed
