Mercer Island Community Fund (MICF)
Grants ranging from $500 to $5,500 to Mercer Island, Washington nonprofit organizations for programs benefitting the local community. Program areas include environment and conservation, arts and culture, recreation, community development, health, and social services.
Priority for funding will be granted to programs that serve the needs of the Mercer Island community at large.
Initial funding assistance for new organizations and projects will also be considered.

The application must include a copy of applicant’s U.S. Treasury (I.R.S.) determination letter in order for Mercer Island Community Fund to ensure that grants are made within the meaning and limitations of Section 501c(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended.
Grants are not made for religious purposes, political purposes, or to projects that discriminate against any protected class as defined in RCW 49.60.180.
Grants from the Fund may be used to match or supplement other grants, and the Fund will consider supplemental funding to established organizations for special projects not funded by other sources.
Applications for grants must be submitted by February 15 to be considered for the April award distribution date.
The Grants Committee and the Board of Directors meet annually in March to consider grants applications.
Grants submitted after February 15 will require special Board approval for funding.
