Grant totaling $5,000 to a Bedford County, Pennsylvania nonprofit organization to address local community needs in the areas of children and youth, financial stability and self sufficiency, or health and well-being. The project or program that is proposed for grant funding must impact one or more of the following areas:
1) Helping Children and Youth Succeed
-Keep youth actively engaged in physical activity
-Help youth avoid unsafe activities and behaviors
2) Fostering Financial Stability and Self Sufficiency
-Assist individuals and families move toward financial stability
-Help individuals and families improve their standard of living
-Help individuals and families build financial assets
3) Health & Well Being
-Help disease prevention activities
-Promote healthy practices for youth and adults
-Help reduce the incidence of chronic disease

Additional Eligibility Criteria
Agency must meet and document the following;
-501(c)(3) nonprofit status
-Governed by a volunteer board of directors
-Serve clients in Bedford County
-Audited by an independent CPA (if budget is less than or equal to $100,000)
-Provide IRS Form 990 or 990EZ
-Registration with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Secretary of State (Bureau of Charitable Organizations)
